Molly Brannigan, IBCLC has been working with new mothers, babies and expectant parents since 2004, and as an Board-Certified Lactation Consultant since 2008. She provides non-judgmental problem-solving support to help mothers achieve successful, easy and satisfying relationships with their babies.

Her areas of specialty are resolving maternal pain (in the breast, nipple, shoulders and/or back), slow-gaining babies, mothers with low/slow milk supply, late pre-term babies, babies with medical conditions, mothers with over-supply and teaching reluctant babies to drink from a bottle.

The more time she spends with mothers and babies, the more Molly is struck by the capabilities of newborns, the depth of mothers intuitive knowledge of their babies, and the intensity of the relationships that babies and mothers create together.

Molly’s academic background is in infant and child nutrition. She has been teaching prenatal healthy pregnancy, childbirth preparation, baby care and breastfeeding classes privately and at San Francisco and East Bay hospitals. She has three (formerly) breastfed children.

Molly sees clients in the office, at the hospital and in there homes. Her service area includes: Richmond, El Cerrito, Kensington, Albany, Berkeley, Oakland, Piedmont, San Leandro, Orinda, Lafayette and Moraga. Travel to other cities will incur a service fee deoending in distance.

Breastfeeding woes? Molly is your woman!! I was (and remain!) so grateful for her impressive and seemingly infinite knowledge base about lactation issues and her gentle and laid-back demeanor. I swear I’ll name my second baby after her! In a time fraught with much anxiety, Molly was a much-needed ROCK. She really has seen it all, and as others here have said, she has a true gift for calm, gentle, and grounded guidance.

Molly’s patience, guidance, and instruction made all of the difference. She listened to our goals and worries and helped us make a plan that worked for our family. Molly brings to her work an amazing combination of a gentle, non-judgmental approach along with an encyclopedic knowledge of all things nursing and nutrition. I cannot imagine a more compassionate and competent guide.
