Topics include: when/how to begin pumping before your return to work, introducing a bottle to your baby, talking to your caregivers about appropriate bottle feeding, making arrangements with your employer, maximizing pumping efficiency while at work, and pitfalls to watch out for.

 All about lactation for expecting families

Topics include: getting off to a good start right from the birth, building robust milk production, achieving comfortable breastfeeding, understanding newborn feeding cues, strategies to prevent/address common difficulties and ways to support breastfeeding parent. Partners and support people are encouraged to attend!

INtroducing Solid Foods - WHAT, WHEN & HOW

Topics include: understanding the developmental signs of readiness for solid foods, how to make feeding fun and engaging for babies and their parents, the division of responsibility for feeding babies and children, current AAP guidelines for feeding solids (with or without continued breastfeeding), and food suggestions.

INFANT AND PEDIATRIC CPR & FIRST AID

This class includes practice in the skills of CPR and First Aid for infants and children from ages birth to twelve years. Learn to respond quickly and competently in an emergency. Practice what to do in cases of choking, drowning, poisoning, head injuries, bleeding, seizures, burns and allergic reactions - and have fun in the process! This class is very hands-on, with the focus on preventing accidents and building your skills and confidence as a rescuer. Handouts provided. Taught by Anna Griffin (a retired 20-year EMT).
